James Brown – Say It Loud – I’m Black and I’m Proud – 1969 Polydor LP

Say It Loud – I’m Black and I’m Proud by James Brown, released in 1969 on Polydor Records.

Built around one of the most powerful and recognizable songs of James Brown’s career, this album captures an important moment in soul, funk, and American cultural history. The title track became an anthem of Black pride, self-respect, and empowerment during a transformative period in the late 1960s.

The album also includes tracks such as “Licking Stick-Licking Stick,” “Goodbye My Love,” and other classic James Brown performances from this era.

This vintage copy appears to remain in its original shrink wrap, which has helped preserve the jacket over the years. The cover shows age-appropriate handling and shelf wear consistent with a vintage record.

Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and show the actual copy you will receive. Unless otherwise noted, the vinyl itself has not been play tested.

A meaningful addition for collectors of James Brown, classic soul and funk, vintage Polydor releases, Black music history, and landmark recordings of the 1960s.
